There's a HOLE in my bucket... I mean the Industry!

Where is the bottom line folks??? Our industry has been in a slump for the last several years and people are waiting for it to change. That's great but why don't we do something about it.

Selling well educated horses or purchasing well educated horses for far far far less than they are worth may feel great now, but what about tomorrow, next week, next month, next year or ten years from now??? Where will the industry be then if we keep paying pennies on the dollar for what horses are worth? We'll be exactly where we are today or perhaps were just a few years ago!

Folks, we HAVE to do what is right by these horses. We HAVE to start acknowledging the value of these horses and understand it is us that can change this bottom line. We are the market place. We decide what is and isn't the standard and right now the standard is for well educated horses to be sold for pennies on the dollar for what they are truly worth and then those that aren't as well educated to get turned out on a coal mine field to fend for themselves! It's unacceptable and irresponsible.

Solution- Don't buy or sell to or from anyone that isn't willing to buy or sell the horse for what it is truly worth.

That's my $0.02, what's yours???

***Note: Before you comment, NO negative comments amount anyone. I will delete them. This is not about this particular person but rather the industry as a whole. Yes our individual actions are the ingredients for the whole recipe, but this is posted for educational and discussion purposes, not negative comments. Thanks in advance.***
